The foundation of Efesan Group was laid by Süleyman Efe in 1972. After beginning its operations in rolling mill business, Efesan Group has become a well-known corporation in the industrial sector thanks to its experience in the manufacture of plain bars and ribbed iron and the establishment of Efesan Demir Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. Efesan Group, which closely follows the requirements of the day, has expanded its businesses by making investments in casting industry, logistics and port management, real estate development and construction in parallel to its targets of growth and development.

Efesan Group has established the Efektif Real Estate Development and Investment Co. in 2005 in order to merge its real estate investments under a roof and to form a real estate company that “creates value” in this sector. Efektif Reas Estate aims to becoming one of the leading real estate development companies in the country with its existing land portfolio and its continuing initiatives in this field.

Efesan Group has purchased Ferro Casting and Foreign Trade Co. from the Şişecam Group in 2007 as part of its strategic commitment to expansion. Ferro Döküm, one of the most important values of the Efesan Group, manufactures pieces from 0.3 to 140 kilograms for both Turkish and foreign automotive, machinery, electricity and construction companies. The production capacity Ferro Casting reached 70,000 tones in 2012 thanks to the investments and improvement works made after its inclusion to the Efesan Group. Ferro Casting is set to become the second largest casting factory of Turkey in terms of capacity as a result of the planned investments to increase its production capacity to 90,000 tones in 2013. Granted the quality certificates ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 (TSE), ISO 9001:2000 and TS 16949 (DQS) and Q1:2007 (FORD), Ferro Casting provides successful and high quality products especially for the automotive industry alongside the overall machinery and white goods sectors.

Efesan Group acquired 100 percent of EfesanPort in 2008 with the view that the logistics and port management will become more important in a developing Turkey.

Operating in Dilovası of Gebze and providing services for any kind of dry and bulk cargo handling, EfesanPort has been working to offer the best service to its customers with its equipments as well as specialized and experienced staff on a 24/7 basis.

The International Maritime Organization’s International Ship and Port Facility Security Codes are applied at the EfesanPort, which has an annual dry and bulk cargo handling capacity of more than 3.5 million tones.

After the investments made in the port area in the second half of 2012, as of the first quarter of 2013, Efesanport has the facilities to provide services to the RO-RO ships while making great improvements in Auto-Port works. After the ongoing investments Efesanport will provide logistics services (warehouse and storing etc.).

Efeska Construction and Contracting Co. was established in 2009 with the objective of becoming one of the most qualified constructions and contracting companies of Turkey. The major objective of Efeska is the construction of art and cultural centers, touristic places, medical buildings, administrative buildings and residences in the domestic and foreign construction market as well as carrying out the restoration and renovation works in Istanbul’s ancient structures and adding many exclusive and high quality structures to the cultural life.

Efesan Group also formed a partnership with Şesan Spare Parts Co. which operates in Gebze Taysan Organized Industrial Zone in 2010, creating a synergy within the Efesan Group by machining and spare parts manufacturing both for domestic and international automotive markets.

Establishing a well-respected organization with respect to financial management and its relations with the public authorities since the first days of its operations, Efesan group has a privileged position in the eyes of the markets and the financial sector.
