Emin ellerdesiniz merak etmeyin..

I visited Kolan International Hospital several times during the past few months, and I have the following comments, which I hope will be construed as constructive criticism. To start with, the Hospital has a highly professional, warm and dedicated medical staff. In particular, the doctors are highly skillful communicators (to be expected) and they treat patients with respect and high regard to the asynchronicity of information. On the other hand the reception leaves a great deal to be desired. I can say with certainty that this very sensitive unit of the Hospital suffers from immense ineptitude. There is no standard process for meeting patients or making appointments. The reception staff deal with patients with arrogance and disrespect. To them, patients are problems to get rid of, not customers to be cared for. I spent many hours and days waiting for something to happen, received many broken promises, and endured ill treatment by being unjustifiably ignored. Here I am not saying the people at the reception are vile, what I detected is that they lack direction and leadership on how to care for customers, and how important they are -as the main interface with patients- to the success of the Hospital. A few formalized processes for meeting patients and fixing appointments might help. The Hospital monolinguicity is another problem, bearing in mind that more than one quarter of the world population now speak English, insisting on speaking one's mother tongue is something of the past, in our one village world. To be competitive and global, and to have patients as repeat callers on your establishment, you need some staff who are fluent in English and other languages. The idea of having "translators" is absurd, as it hinders, rather than improves the situation. Although they are well meaning and try to help, they constitute a barrier between doctor and patient, which does not help the communication process. Although I was impressed by the facility and the treatment I received from all the doctors I came in contact with, I am reluctant to go back to the Hospital if ever I need to, because I dread to face the ill treatment I received at the reception. Wishing you the best of luck
