Hikayemiz

These magnificent historic Greek Ottoman mansions have been tastefully restored to create an atmosphere of comfort and luxury. Over 200 years ago, 33 individual homes were carved into the stone. MDC HOTEL has combined the unique structure of the existing caves with classic Ottoman style and modern design to create 46 beautiful rooms. The rooms have 3-metre high ceilings, giving our guests a real sense of space.

Each of our 46 rooms has a unique design, layout and story. The rooms may have previously been kitchens, sleeping quarters or stables. Many traditional and original features have been preserved and featured, including wine presses, tandoor ovens, carved alcoves, storage areas and cellars. Traditional colours and fabrics decorate the beds, windows, tables and walls, enhancing the soft, natural colour of the rock.

The vanities, walls and floors in our luxurious bathrooms are skilfully tiled with marble and onyx from Turkey and the Middle East. In-floor heating keeps the rooms warm and comfortable during cooler seasons. Every room is fitted with a hot tub, a glassed-in shower and colourful washbasins in ceramic or stone.

Sip a glass of Cappadocian wine on your room’s private terrace, which overlooks our orchard. Wander up to the top of the hotel for a panoramic view of the valley and watch the sun rise or set over beautiful Göreme National Park.

The renowned chef in our gourmet restaurant creates amazing Turkish and international cuisine. Our breakfast buffet is a delicious mix of traditional Turkish foods, but don’t let that stop you from ordering eggs or gözleme (Turkish crepe).
