Absolutely a fantastic place to eat. Mario, George and the team are very welcoming. This is our second year on the trot to Kalkan and I would not miss eating here for anything. We tried a number of different dishes all superbly cooked and very tasty. They now do fresh fish and it also was delicious and lastly the chips are fantastic best in Kalkan.

Tamam! As a self proclaimed Turkish citizen this is definitely recommended. It looks over beautiful Kalkan harbour and the service is impeccable! We even had our own fish doctor...
First of all order raki, it's tasty, it's smooth and it helps open up the appetite. But don't just get raki, like proper Turks you should get feta and melon with your raki. Bite the feta sip the raki and the melon helps cleanse the palette for the flavour bonanza to start again.
Once you've ordered your raki get some mezze. You want dolma, you want spinach in yogurt, tomato mezze. Who cares what the menu says just tell them how many people and you want mezze!
Next up is lovely mains. Don't even bother looking at the menu. Let's face it, we tourists know nothing about the local culture and food; noobs, we are epic noobs.
So ask your waiter to take you to the fish holding area and pick some fresh fish. Small fish are great for lunch and larger fish are great for sharing during an intimate dinner. For large groups get a mix of sea food dishes to share. Make sure you talk it through with your waiter so everyone gets a taste of the Turkish goodness
If you're getting large fish make sure the cooking method is appropriate. You want it in the stone oven, it adds an underlying smokey tone which is additional depth to the dish.
Oh wow. By this time I'm stuffed, and sorry but I have no need of desserts so these are my recommendations:
a) raki - because I'm an alcoholic
b) Turkish tea - because I ate too much and I'm about to pop!!
Enjoy guys, this restaurant is awesome.
