Learn To Speak Turkish By Practicing With A Friendly Local! (Istanbul)

If you are just starting, I'm very good at laying out the fundamentals of the Turkish language so it's easy for you to understand & absorb quickly.

During our lessons I choose different topics, such as shopping, meeting people, travel, films, talking about yourself & your background etc. or anything else you want to talk about.

My own language-learning adventure began in high school when I first studied English. However, like a lot of people I was just learning a bunch of grammar but didn't actually have the skill or confidence to hold a conversation.

Then after high school when I moved to Brazil for 12 months, I learned Portuguese in only a few months solely by conversing with the locals. At the same time, my conversational English reached a good level. From this experience, I realised that interacting with locals is more effective than learning a language in a classroom.

After I got back from Brazil my love of languages continued as I learned how to speak Spanish, until I became a certified translator.

I have a diverse background, with jobs ranging from management level positions to a barista, so I'm able to talk about many different interests. My approach is casual so you'll feel like you're chat with a friend, rather than 'being taught' by a professor.

Sessions are 60TL an hour. But if you pay for 10 sessions I will give you another lesson for FREE!

I live in Bostanci, on the Asian side, but if need be we can meet in a cafe at a convenient location for both of us. Or if you'd like, we can speak on Skype. At the moment I'm available Sundays. Please give at least 48 hours notice :)
