Gölbaşı is a rural district of Adıyaman Province of Turkey, next to the lakes of Azaplı and Yeşilova. It stands between Malatya and Gaziantep cities. Its population was 28,072 in 2010. There is a lake in the area, Gölbaşı Lake.Yusuf Özdemir (AKP) is the incumbent mayor of this town since the 2003 local elections.
