Dalyan is small town on the south-western coast of Turkey. 27 km from the international airport Dalaman. Set in the center of a broad delta whose natural beauty remains unspoilt.
Dalyan is one of the few surviving places of paradise, an area of natural beauty and historical interest. The ancient city of Caunos lies here with its ruins dating back to 3000 years.
With its clean and shallow coast, Iztuzu is a perfect vocational spot where you can swim for 9 months. UK newspaper The Times had selected Iztuzu, that "Best open space Europe" on December 2008. This is also the beach where the endangered Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta Caretta) and the green turtle (Chelonia Mydas) have returned to lay their eggs since the beginning of time. The nesting time being from May till October.
There are thermal springs and mud bath near Dalyan. The warm water softens the skin and eliminates wrinkles because it contains a high ratio sulphur. Some experts claim that the mud is good for some illness. After you have spread the mud on your body, you have to wait until it has dried.
