Hikayemiz

(ENG) We are a civil organization on mountaineering, treking, historical tours, city tours, hiking and dozens of different nature activities which are operated by professionals based in Dogubayazit/Agri. This year, to fullfil an Elisa and Emrah´s desire, we organize a International No Profit Expedition to Ararat Mountain.

Dates: 10th-14th August

Meeting/ending point: Doğubeyazıt

Price: COMING SOON - being the event "no profit", the price coincides with expenses divided by participants. Exemplifying quotes depending on the number of participants will be communicated here as soon as possible.

Fee includes: guides, equipments (tends, camp kitchen), beasts of burden. transportation from Doğubayazıt to the trekking starting point and return.

Fee do not includes: food (Emrah and Elisa will take care of selecting and buying food for all participants), medical insurance (see below), flights and transportation to/from Dogubayazit (see below), accomodation before and after the expedition period. Cheap option can be easily found for medical insurance and transportation. Read below and ask Elisa and Emrah.

How to get to Doğubayazıt: there are 2 airports directly connected to Doğubayazıt: Van (2,5 h by bus, about 10€) and Iğdır (1 h by bus, about 4€). Cheap flights are provided by Pegasus Airlines to Van from Madrid, Barcelona, Bologna, Milano, Roma (via Istanbul). Another option is to buy a cheap flight to Istanbul (Pegasus Airlines) and from there fly to Iğdır with AnadoluJet. Buses from Istanbul cost almost the same as flights, but take 24h-26h.

Medical Insurance: if your country does not cover medical assistance in Turkey (Italy and Spain do not), then you should buy a travel insurance. Check a policy that includes accidents occuring during high quote trekking, or ask us.
