I went on the Ephesus Day tour with Apasus Travel. The guide was good, but overall the experience was poor. 1. According to the Apasus Travel website, the tour was supposed to go from 9am to 5pm. The started late as we waited till 930 for a couple coming on the bus. and we finished very early (at 3pm). The tour guide informed us that the other couple on our bus had booked their ongoing bus ticket for 430pm and so we would return early so they would be able to catch our bus. We returned at 3pm. The tour lasted 5.5 hours not 8 hours as expected. 2. We did not visit St John - When I asked the tour guide he said I had time to walk their after the tour. When I arrived at St John, I found out that it had and additional 10TL entrance fee. Your website said this entrance fee was included. 3. We spent only 2 hours at Ephesus. The Apasus Travel website states that we would get 2.5 hours at Ephesus. 4. The ticket to the terrace houses was not included. The Apasus website states that it is included and the there will be 20 mins extra allocated to see the terrace houses. 5. We were not given 20 mins extra to see the terrace houses. 6. I walked to the Apasus office to discuss this, and they asked me to go back to the bus station and talk to our guide about my concerns, my guide said sorry and there was nothing he could do about it as the company had already taken my money and no refund was available. He offered me 40 TL out of his wallet, and then took the 40TL back 10 minutes later. He then offered to take me to St John, by this time it was too late and we would have either rushed St John or missed the 430 pm bus that the guide had booked for us. 7. We went to a local leather shop. I don’t go on tours to go shopping. If the Apasus website had mentioned a leather/onyx shop, I would not have booked a tour with Apasus Travel.
