Our school is situated in the centre of Kırşehir. Kırşehir is a small city between Ankara (the capital) and Nevşehir (Cappadocia). People in Kırşehir give importance to education very much. So the education level is very high here. Also our school is the one which has lots of successful pupils. Our school is the best primary school in Kırşehir. The staff number of our school is 55 and the pupils are nearly 1,220. We have classes from 1 to 4 grades, their ages being between 6 and 10. Our aims; Reveal the capabilities of students and improve them according to their desires and interests, enable sth to gain ability and conscious of using their rights, fulfilling their duties and assume their responsibilities. We want open our pupils’ mind toward many cultures because we think the future is a multicultural future and discover in the other cultures what is similar or different by our culture is the first step towards respect, tolerance and collaboration. Our pupils and their family are very involved towards European projects. We want our learners to get a wider perspective of life in other countries and they will also become more familiar with European culture and we strongly believe that this will contribute to the international cooperation and peace.
